Open Science

Open Science is the ideal that scientific publications and research data should be openly shared and be accessible to all. This includes publications, measured and observational data, analyzed data, questionnaires, soft- and hardware, analysis scripts and tools, multimedia files, experimental setups and workflows, metadata and provenance data. To make use of his wealth of information, new approaches and innovative solutions are needed. The Semantic Computing Group is developing semantic technologies for data

  • identifying best practices to ensure reproducibility of research
  • defining vocabularies to enrich research data with semantic annotations
  • developing software and tools that support researchers in managing their research data
