Dr. Matthias Hartung
Matthias joined the Semantic Computing Group in October 2013 after working as a research associate at the Computational Linguistics Department at Heidelberg University. In 2015, he received a Dr. phil. degree from Heidelberg for a thesis on "Distributional Semantic Models of Attribute Meaning in Adjectives and Nouns". Currently, his main research interests are on information extraction from (biomedical) text, distributional semantics and machine learning in NLP. Matthias is a proud member of the PSINK project ("Populating a Preclinical Spinal Cord Injury Knowledge Base") which is funded by the BMBF.
